RUSTENBURG-The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) on Tuesday called on law enforcement agencies to take action against those responsible for attacking its members at the Sibanye Stillwater mine.
NUM, Solidarity and National Union of Mine South Africa (Numsa) reached an agreement with the mine in December 2018 without the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (Amcu).
According to the NUM, since the beginning of the strike at Sibanye Stillwater mine last year November, about 15 houses and six vehicles have been torched in Carletonville.
