MAHIKENG-The second day of the sentencing proceedings in the Coligny Murder case in the North West High Court have concluded with the mother of the deceased Matlhomola Moshoeu on Tuesday.
Agnes Moshoeu was the third witness when she got overwhelmed with emotion as she remembered of her 16-year-old son. She shared with the court that is was unnecessary for her son to be dead for a mere sunflower and the death of her son has left her devasted.
The court was adjourned when the mother cried uncontrollably and was unable to speak. She is expected to continue on Thursday.
Matlhomola Moshoeu was the third child of Agnes Moshoeu.
Matlhomola died on 20 April 2017 at the hands of two white farmers, Phillip Schutte and Pieter Doorewaard who were convicted of the crime at the North West High Court in Mahikeng in November 2018.
The court is back is session, Wednesday at 10am.
