Golf legend, Tiger Woods, has been hospitalised following a car crash in Los Angeles.
According to his agent, Mark Steinberg, Woods suffered “multiple” leg injuries after his car went off a road and rolled over. Paramedics had to use jaws of life to get him out of the car.
"Tiger Woods was in a single-car accident this morning [Tuesday] in California where he suffered multiple leg injuries. He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support," said Steinberg in a statement.
According to the latest media reports, Woods is in a “serious condition”
Woods has been in Los Angeles as tournament host for last week's Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club, but the 15-time major champion is currently unable to play, or even practice, following his fifth back surgery last month.
The 45-year-old had to remove pressure from a disc fragment in his spine. Woods recently spoke of his optimism at playing in this year’s Masters, a tournament he won in 2019 to end an 11-year drought in major championships.
