The case against a 15-year-old Alexandra learner accused of murder has been postponed to 8 September by the Alexandra Magistrate's Court.
The learner was arrested after stabbing to death a fellow learner at Pholosho Secondary School on Monday.
Police said the learners were fighting when the suspect stabbed Qayiya Mgaye with a sharp object. The suspect was later handed over to the police by his parents.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson, Phindi Mjonondwane, said the suspect was charged with murder on Wednesday when he appeared in camera.
The learner was remanded in custody at a Child and Youth Centre until his next court appearance on Wednesday next week.
